FAQ

What is the difference between dehydrated skin and dry skin ?

Dry and dehydrated skin share some of the same symptons but they are actually two different skin issues. To put it simple, dehydrated skin lacks water, while dry skin lacks oil, it doesn’t produce enough of the skin’s natural sebum

AHA natural fruit extract is a concentrated liquid blend of 2 to 5 botanical extracts

In the AHA cleanser of Inga Klouth we used a concentrated liquid blend of 5 botanical extracts (blueberries, sugarcane, oranges, lemons and sugar maple) that provide a natural source of Alpha Hydroxy Acids.

It has 5 different Acids:

Lactic Acid: a highly effective moisterizer

Glycolic Acid: gives immediate skin softening

Citric Acid : stimulate collageen synthesis

Malic Acid : boosts skin elasticity

Tartaric Acid : also boosts skin elasticity

What is the skin barrier ?

The skin barrier, located in the outermost layer of the skin (stratum corneum), consists of a lipid matrix and protective elements. It shields the body from external threats like microorganisms, irritants, and environmental factors. Essential for skin health, disruptions can lead to various skin conditions. Skincare practices, including moisturizing and sun protection, help maintain a healthy skin barrier. The formulation of Inga Klouth’s natural cosmetics is also set to support the skin barriere.
